Ugh.
I woke up this morning with most of my head feeling as though it was being squeezed by a vice. Sinus pressure, sore throat, pain in both ears, stuffiness and cough all add up to one conclusion–a sinus infection. I really, really, really don’t want to take antibiotics, but I think it may be my only option. I’m taking it easy and sleeping, taking steamy showers and holding hot washclothes on my face. I see the doctor shortly, so she’ll tell me what we can do about this grossness.
Baby moved a lot less yesterday, but still more times that I could count. I suppose it probably has more to do with the fact that I only had half a cup of coffee in the morning instead of the GIANT sweet tea I sipped on all day like the other day (not a regular occurance, I assure you). He seems to like certain foods. Pizza always makes him dance around, as does ice cream, regular coke, orange juice and any hot drink, but most especially cocoa. More than that, though, is music. Especially the Avett Brothers. We’ve been to three of their shows since we found out he was pending and at the two most recent he has moved around LOTS, especially to the upbeat, fastpaced songs. His favorite from the other night was “My Heart’s Like a Kick Drum.”
I’m off to the doctor’s office for our 20 week appointment and I’ll let you know how it goes. My only worry is that according to my scale I haven’t put on any weight. I’m not supposed to put on a lot, so I don’t that it’s a big deal. I eat when I’m hungry, but I’m never very hungry. It’s an instant, blinding, anger fueled NEED for food, but I’m satisfied with a pretty small amount. And if I eat too much I feel pretty rotten. I’m getting my fruits and veggies and dairy (ice cream counts, right??) and protein, just not a lot of any of them. Thank goodness for prenatals.
